Campaign Mission

The Mission of the Massachusetts Campaign for Children
is to build and maintain a statewide, grassroots membership organizaiton to engage in non-partisan electoral and legislative actions at the local and state level that promote the well-being of all Massachusetts children, youth, and their families.

The Campaign believes that all our children have the right to be economically secure, healthy, well-educated, and nurtured in strong families within safe communities.

The Campaign promotes the rights of all Massachusetts Children:

  • To be economically secure and free from poverty and its debilitating effects on their health, nutrition, safety, academic achievement and capacity to envision a better future.

  • To have a healthy start to life, receive quality medical care, and early and regular preventive care and supports.

  • To learn and achieve in schools and early childhood settings that are grounded in quality and equality.

  • To be safe from all forms of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence.

  • To live in a nurturing family surrounded by healthy communities and workplaces that support the development of strong families.

The Campaign for Children is committed to the participation of diverse peoples, groups, organizations and communities. Our membership and leadership will reflect a variety of races, cultures, linguistic groups, religions/spiritual beliefs, and nationalities. We seek to be representative of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, socioeconomic classes, and educational levels, as well as physical, emotional and mental abilities.
