Principles
of the Campaign
The Massachusetts Campaign for Children is guided by a
set of defined principles. The members of the Campaign
believe all our children have the right:
- to
live with economic security, free from the debilitating
effects of poverty on children's health, nutrition,
safety, academic achievement and capacity to envision
a better future;
-
to get the medical and preventive care they need;
- to
learn in child care and school settings steeped in
quality and equality;
- to
be safe from violence, abuse and neglect;
- and
to live in caring families and healthy communities.
