MASSACHUSETTS
CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
PREVENTION PARTNERSHIP
The
Massachusetts Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Partnership
(MCSAPP) is a public/private collaborative whose mission
is to prevent child sexual abuse by engaging adults and
communities in effective perpetration prevention efforts
at the local and state levels.
On
October 1, 2002, Massachusetts was selected by the federal
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National
Center for Injury Prevention and Control as one of three
sites in the country to pilot and evaluate promising
perpetration prevention models. The Partnership will
oversee implementation of the three-year CDC project
in cooperation with Massachusetts Citizens for Children,
lead agency for the project, and Massachusetts Society
for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC), evaluator
for the effort.
