Shaken Baby Syndrome
As
the leading spokesgroup on SBS prevention in the state,
the
MA SBS Prevention Center at MCC has reached thousands
of parents, caregivers, professionals and other members
of
the public
through
the distribution of educational brochures, the coordination
of community prevention projects and the promotion
of SBS
awareness on television and radio. Your donation
will help us to:

Continue
to purchase and distribute teaching materials and
SBS prevention brochures to
parents and professionals in hospitals, clinics,
child care settings, schools, etc.
- Develop
a new SBS prevention curriculum that will target
middle and high school students. (Shaken Baby Syndrome
occurs
more often to infants of very young parents.)
- Provide
technical assistance to communities interested in implementing
a comprehensive SBS prevention effort.
