Marybeth Meservey, RNC, MS, WHNP is a Nurse Educator for the Massachusetts Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention Center. In 2005 as the Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist at UMass Memorial Medical Center, she oversaw the implementation of the hospital's SBS prevention education program for parents.
Marybeth has 25 years of experience in Maternal-Child Health spanning tertiary pediatric and obstetrical care to public health including direct care, leadership and nursing education. She is certified as a Woman's Health Nurse Practitioner by the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). She has also participated in the opening of the Children's AIDS Program at the Boston Department of Health and Hospitals as well as the Boston Public Health Commission's Healthy Baby/Healthy Child Program. She received a Master of Science in Community Health Nursing from Boston University School of Nursing and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study as a Women's Health Nursing Practitioner from Simmons College.
Marybeth currently works as a Clinical Nurse IV in Labor and Delivery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and at Dimock Community Health Center as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. She also serves as adjunct faculty at Simmons College.
