Red Sox Victory Prints by Paul Shea
The intense rivalry between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees is arguably the fiercest and most famous in North American professional sports. This first print depicts the banner that waved from the Massachusetts State House after the Red Sox victory over the Yankees during the 2004 American League Championship Series. This comeback was the only time in baseball history that a team has come back from a 0-3 defeat to win a series.
The second print shows the banner that waved from the Massachusetts State House when the Red Sox won the 2004 World Championship Series and ended one of the longest championship droughts in baseball history. Called the "Curse of the Bambino" after the Red Sox's sale of Babe Ruth to the rival Yankees two years after their world championship in 1918, this print celebrates the end of that 86-year wait before the team's sixth World Championship victory.
Paul gifted a limited number of these reprints to Massachusetts Citizens for Children. (See Paul Shea description above)
Celtics “Pride in Motion” Poster
This poster captures a candid shot of the "Big Three" Celtics greats – Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish taken on the floor of the historic Boston Garden. These posters were gifted to Massachusetts Citizens for Children by the Boston Celtics Organization to help support MCC's work. Photo was taken by Tom Miller.

New England Patriots Victory Print by Boston artist Paul Shea
This print depicts a view of the Massachusetts State House displaying the victory banner commemorating the New England Patriots’ 2004 Super Bowl Championship.
Paul Shea was a beloved fixture on the streets of Boston for many years, his brushes at work capturing the ebb and flow of life in the city. The Waltham Native was the second in three generations of artists, and his works are both a creative and an historic portrait of Boston and its many landmarks. Paul’s love of the city and his interest in people, are evident in his vibrant watercolors that are as full of life and activity as any workday in the heart of the city. Paul painted a number of his works from MCC's 7th floor office suite at 14 Beacon Street, which provided him with a unique vantage point from which to paint the Massachusetts State House, his favorite subject. A beloved father of nine children, Paul understood the importance of MCC's mission and before his death in 2009 gifted a limited number of this reprint to support the work he valued.
